Movie time!

Frances Ha was very cute and funny movie, although I had moments where the main actress irritated me so much. Kinsey was very good. El secreto de sus ojos - movie starts very slowly but it drove me very well until the end. Nice story and performance. Neprijatelj is excellent Serbian movie, I like it a lot. I love Zoe Kazan but this movie, The Pretty one, was just meeeh. I mean, it was not boring, but nothing special and I really can not see Jack Johnson as a charming main guy in the move. Nightcrawler was excellent, Jake Gyllenhaal is a God! 

Movie time

I really have to post this "movie time posts" more often, since there's so many movies I've watched on my list and I will eventually forget that first impression I had. So here we go:

► The Normal heart was excellent! I remember I didn't like Mark Ruffalo when I was younger, but boy, I must say 
he is so good in every movie I've recently watched. 

► Boyhood. Hmm, well, except for the fact that movie was filmed over the course of 12 years, which is impressive, I didn't enjoy that much. Yeah, it was boring most of the time. Ok. there was one moment when I really felt deep empathy (SPOILER) and it was the scene when mom (Patricia Arquette) is left alone, children is gone, and she's questioning where her life is going now. 

► Saving Mr. Banks. Oh, I loved this one! And I am a huge fan of Marry Poppins so this was so fun to watch. Did I say that I was singing most of the movie and cried in the end, of course :)

► Very good girls. I've chosen to watch this movie, mostly because of Elizabeth Olsen, I love her so much, but movie was nothing special. Lemonade for the Thursday afternoon. 

► Red Lights. I don't know why this movie was so badly rated. I really liked it. Ok. I know, there was a lot of predictable scenes and clichés, but I don't care. I've enjoyed it. Callian Murphy was very good. 

► If I stay. It was ok, not boring to watch. 

Movie time

Svestenikova deca was a fun watch, but I couldn't agree more with movie critics that there're some missing elements that could made this movie much better. There was a few boring moments, but beside that, I've enjoyed it. Ljudozder vegetarijanac was quite disturbing, but it's a good movie. Excellent performance by Rene Bitorajac. No one's son was also very good. It's always hard to watch movies with ex Yugoslavia war themes in it, specially if you come from Serbia, but I really liked this one. Also, very good cast. Palo Alto was just boring. Sooo boring. Fine dead girls is another Croatian movie on this list. I've watched this movie a couple of years ago, and I wanted to watch it again to remind myself why did I liked it so much. Footnote is charming Israeli movie with nice plot and funny atmosphere. 

Movie time

▨ Imitation game was just too naive. A lemonade. I love, love Benedict Cumberbatch, but this movie just wasn't that good. Also, there's a lovely Matthew Goode, charming as always. I guess that big success of it is that director managed to make Keira Knightley less irritating that usual. 
▨ Foxcatcher was good, but I've heard a lot of good reviews from my friends, so I guess I expected more and I wasn't that pleased. One of the first roles where Steve Carell wasn't funny and he was very, very good. But I will be a bad guy again, and say that I can't help but wonder, is it because of the good mask or Steve really did amazing job? I have to commend Mark Ruffalo. He was so good! And I'm not even a fan of Mark. 
▨ Birdman was quite amusing. I loved how director cut those scenes and how he interpreted theatre atmosphere. Nice soundtrack, great cast, although I could imagine some other, less famous actors. Even though I love Benedict, I think that Michael Keaton is my Oscar favorite nominee. 
▨ Whiplash was good! And I know that people say that it's nice teenage movie, but I don't care. I really enjoyed it. 
▨ Force Majeure was just brilliant! 
▨ Loved Borgman! Surreal, dark but also funny movie with a lot of religious moments. 

Movie time

This week was all about romantic comedies. What, what, I needed a break and relaxing time. Ok. The Double is out of that category and it was quite good. I see a lot of Enemy VS. The Double and I must say I like Enemy more. In your eyes with lovely Zoe Kazan was really nice. Although I love Simon Pegg - Nick Frost combination, Paul was a little bit boring. There was a few laughs, but it wasn't that much interesting like the other movies with those two. That awkward moment was a typical movie about guys and girls, but I kind a enjoyed it. The spectacular now was just awful. I didn't expect much from Two nigh stand, but I actually like it. Nice little romantic comedy.  

Movie time

A Separation was excellent! Lilya 4 Ever was so good, even though it was very depressive. Always great and funny Cary Grant and lovely Rosalind Russell in His Girl Friday. Kynodontas was better then I expected, psychologically and sociologically intriguing with great photography and atmosphere. And I really like Greek language, partly because of my husband who teaches Greek. I was really excited when I saw trailer for Horns, but movie wasn't that good. Still, I enjoyed it. It's nice to see Daniel out of the Harry Potter role. White bird in a Blizzard was quite nice. I'm starting to like Shailene Woodley more and more. 

Movie time

American Hustle was ok. I guess I expected more because of all hype about this movie. Anna(Mindscape) has great idea for the plot, but it was a bit predictable at the end. Adam's apples was absolutely wonderful and sad and funny. Loved it! Mads Mikkelsen is great, as always. The Fault is our stars was very moving and nice. Should I say I cried like a teenage girl in love. Chef is a funny and relaxing movie with a lot of great food scenes. I was expecting this movie big time, but Frank just wasn't as good as I believed it would be. It's ok, have very nice soundtrack and cast, specially Maggie Gyllenhaal and of course Michael Fassbender, but it just needed something more. Don't know what. 

Movie time

Disconnect was OK. but I wasn't that trilled about it. Carnage is movie with a great cast, I mean Kate and Christoph are such a great movie couple. It's fun and enjoyable movie. Source code is a little bit predictable, but Jake G. did great job. I just love every movie moment with him. Enough Said was so nice. I love Julia Louis-Dreyfus, she's so sweet and this was, unfortunately, James Gandolfini's last movie. I was very happy to see Tavi Gevison in the movie, she was really great. The Grand Budapest Hotel was just perfect! Story, cast and of course visual part, that is just breath taking. I really like all those poster/graphics tributes that people do. Wolves of Wall Street was quite amusing, I liked it. 

Recently watched

The Company you keep mi je bio zabavan, ali nisam bila previse odusevljena. About time je presladak film, bas sam uzivala. Domhnail Gleeson je sjajno odigrao svoju ulogu, vrlo sarmantno i duhovito. Enemy! Uh! Odlican od pocetka do kraja. Sjajni Jake Gyllenhaal, kao i obicno, puno simbolike, sjajna fotografija, sjajna atmosfera, soundtrack.. Brothers je sasvim okej film. Tobey Maguire je zaista bio neocekivano dobar. The Words mi se bas svideo. Prvo sam htela da ga preskocim, jer je i lose bio ocenjen a i trejler je prilicno neuverljiv, ali na kraju se isplatilo. Philadelphia sam gledala jos kad sam bila klinka, i secam se da mi je bio super film, pa sam htela da obnovim gradivo. Medjutim, ovog puta mi i nije nesto "legao", mada pretpostavljam da je do mene vise nego do filma.

The Company you keep was entertaining for a moments, but I didn't like it that much. About time is really cute and funny movie, I've really enjoyed it. Specially the role that Domhnail Gleeson did. Enemy was excellent, great Jake Gyllenhaal, a lot of nice symbolic moments, beautiful photography and atmosphere. Brothers was just fine, great cast, specially Tobey Maguire , he was really great. I wanted to skip The Words, trailer wasn't so convincing and the critics gave it low marks, but in the end it turn out really good. I liked it. I even liked Bradley Cooper :P I watched Philadelphia when I was a kid, and I remember I'd liked it very much, but it wasn't the case now. I guess it's me, not the movie, don't know.

Movie and TV time

Nymphomaniac odlican! Ja volim Larsa, tako da sve sto izbaci iz svoje filmske kuhinje meni apsolutno prija. Pritom Charlotte Gainsbourg je predivna kako god okrenete.
Dok sam bila u Zagrebu, na repertoaru Kino Europe sam videla plakat filma Les garçons et Guillaume, à table! i kako nisam imala prilike da ga gledam u bioskopu, brze bolje sam ga odgledala kod kuce. I jako mi se svideo. Sjajna gluma i par scena koje su me do suza nasmejele. 
Blue Jasmine. Poslednjih par filmova Woody Allen-a su mi bili prilicno slabi, mada ne mogu da kazem da nisam uzivala, ali ovaj, ako izuzmemo sjajnu Cate Blanchett, je prilicno dosadan i slab. 
What Maisie Knew mi se nije svideo. 

Pored filmova, ja sam veliki manijak za serije. Ne zna im se broj ;) Ovog puta izdvajam dve sjajne serije, Good Wife i Fargo. Good wife je trenutno pred kraj pete sezone i trenutno je jedna od serija kojima se najvise radujem kad dodje nedelja kad izlaze. Fargo je nova serija, u toku je prva sezona. Inspirisana je filmom brace Coen i ima dobru glumacku ekipu. Kad kazem dobru glumacku ekipu, prvenstveno mislim na omiljenog mi Martin Freeman-a. Serija odise nekom cudnom crno humornom atmosferom i cesto me zbunjuju odredjene situacije, ali valjda joj to i daje car.

I really enjoyed Nymphomaniac. I really love Lars von Trier and Charlotte Gainsbourg, so anything those two make suits my taste. 
Les garçons et Guillaume, à table! was very sweet and funny movie. Main character was very funny and good.
Blue Jasmine without Cate Blanchett would be total disaster. She was excellent, but the rest of the movie was boring and without solid story elements.
What Maisie Knew was also not so good. 

Beside movies, I really enjoy TV series. I don't how many of them I currently watch, but for now, I will mention these two, Good Wife and Fargo. Good Wife is currently on season 5 and I can say that this is one of my favorite TV shows at the moment. Fargo is new show, inspired by Fargo movie by Coen brothers. It has some strange dark humor atmosphere and sometimes I'm quite confused about some character's reactions, but I guess that makes it good.  

This week movies // Filmovi za ovu nedelju

Only lovers left alive je divan novi Jarmusch-ov film. Po meni Jarmusch ne moze da omane, prosto volim njegovu poetiku i kako gradi likove, a to je ovde zaista sjajno izvedeno. Daleko od toga da nemam zamerku. Imam. SPOILER ALERT! Film i nema bogznakakvu pricu i usudicu se reci da je u trenucima dosadan, ali s druge strane reditelj to vesto pokriva sjajnom studijom likova, kako i on sam kaze, sitnim crno-humoristicnim detaljima, divnom fotografijom, muzikom, teksturama i ostalim. Sto se mene tice, iako je volim, Mia Wasikowska nije ni morala da se pojavi.
La vie d'Adele me je prosto oduvao! Jako lepo ispricana i izrezirana prica sa sjajnim glumcima, ubedljivim scenama, prosto vas tera da ga volite sve vise sa svakim sledecim kadrom. Film traje 3 sata a da se ne oseti. Scene seksa, koje su uvek zeznute da ne ispadne, evo ih samo radi kontroverze, su ovde pametno odradjene, nepateticne i ubedljive i to je plus za reditelja. Da li da spomenem da sam i plakala malo pred kraj ;)
Her uf, sta da kazem za ovaj film a da me pola populacije ne ubije ;) Ne znam, meni se nije svideo. Jedva sam cekala da se zavrsi. Nit mi je bio romantican, nit mi je bio zabavan, prica i nije sad toliko wow, ali ajd da i zanemarimo to, prosto nije dovoljno dobro razradjena, po meni. Ono sto mi se svidja jeste kostim, fotografija, ti neki art detalji, ali celokupna prica, jok! Joaquin je sjajan, da se razumemo, a Scarlet ce me nervirati, cak iako joj se cuje samo glas.
Dallas buyers club mi je bi prilicno dobar. Sto se tice Matthew-a, ne znam da l' je zasluzio Oskara, al svakako mi je bio jako dobar i ubedljiv. A ne volim ga. Mada, mozda mi se ipak vise svideo Jared Leto. Sjajna transformacija, gluma, jako mi je drago sto se opet vratio na platno. Ako zanemarimo njegovo iritatno rock star pozerisanje, Jared je sjajan glumac i mestu mu je def. medju velikim projektima.
August: Osage County u principu sam film najvise gledala zbog Benedict Cumberbatch-a, nisam imala ocekivanja, tako da je proslo ok. Super cast, dosadnjikav, odlicna gluma, doduse i par sjajnih momenata. But, that's all.

Memories of Matsuko je sjajan japanski film, koji sam doduse gledala jos davno, ali svakako zaluzuje da se pomene. Super prica, izvedba, duhovito, dirljivo, smesno, malo wierd na onaj pozitivni japanski nacin i vizuelno jako interesantan. Jako volim reditelja filma, Tetsuya Nakashima, prosto ne mogu da odlucim koji mi je bolji film, Memoris of Matsuko, Kokuhaku ili Kamikaze Girls.

Only lovers left alive is wonderful Jarmusch's new movie. But, if you ask me, Jarmusch can't fail. I just love how he narrates, how he build characters, and it's done excellent in this one. I do have a couple objections, SPOILER ALERT. The movie doesn't have story, in sense of making some interesting plot or something like that, and sometimes it was a little bit boring, well, not boring, but slow. But Jarmusch compensates that with great study of characters and their atmospheric being, like director said himself. Great details, music, dark humorous moments, excellent photography, textures etc. And, although I love her, I wouldn't miss much Mia Wasikowska not being there.
La vie d'Adele  is absolutely wonderful movie. Really nicely shown story with great scenes, actors, from the beginning 'till the end of the movie. Sex scenes, which are always tricky not to look like they are there just because of the controversy, are very convinsing and that is the big plus.  Should I say that I cried at the end of it ;)
Her weeel, I didn't like it very much. I didn't find it either romantic or original, just it didn't feel that much elaborated. I like costumes, music, photography and stuff and Joaquin was pretty nice and Scarlet will always be irritating even though you just hear her voice.  
Dallas buyers club was pretty good. I don't know was it for Oscar, but Matthew was excellent. But I was more enthusiastic about Jared Leto. Great acting, transformations and beside his rock star bullshit (pardon my French), I really think he is great actor and his place is definitely in big projects.  
August: Osage County actually, I've watched this movie mostly because of Benedict Cumberbatch, but unfortunately, he didn't have big role. Nice character, but besides some nice scenes and dialogs, a little bit boring. 
Memories of Matsuko is a great Japanese movie. Great story, acting, a little bit weird, but in a good way, excellent details, moving, visually very good. I really like that director, Tetsuya Nakashima, and I can't tell which movie is better, Memoris of Matsuko, Kokuhaku ili Kamikaze Girls. 

Recently watched

Od kako sam pocela da radim, ne stizem vise da gledam toliko filmova kao pre, ali trudim se da to uskladim. Secam se ranije kad sam gledala i po tri filma dnevno+serije. Malo sam freak, znam.
Novi film Srdana Golubovica, Krugovi, me je totalno oduvao. Sjajna rezija, atmosfera, dijalozi, gluma, fotografija, ma zaista divan film. Da ne pricam da sam pola filma preplakala. Bila sam doduse i sama sa sobom u nekom mood-u, ali svakako je uticao film na mene. Bravo za Srdana i ekipu. 
Je vais bien, ne t'en vais pas mi je fino legao. Volim Melanie Laurent bas, divna mi je i sa sobom uvek nosi neku finu atmosferu. Ah, Cary Grant, najdivniji. Arsenic and old lace mogu uvek da gledam i uvek umirem od smeha. Ustvari Grant je uvek pozeljan u domu, bilo koji film, bezbroj puta.
Never let me go ima tu mucnu temu, ali nisam bila odusevljena, da ne kazem da mi je bio dosadnjikav. In a better world mi se jako svideo, mada ja sam slaba na Dance, tako da nisam uvek objektivna. Ne, ali zaista, dobar film. XXY isto odlican, dobra tema, sjajna gluma, fotografija i mesto gde je snimano, veliki plus.

Since I've started working, I don't have much time for movies, but I'm trying to menage that as good as I can. The thing is I'm quite tired and often fall a sleep watching something. I remember days when I watched three/four movies + tv shows per day. Yes, I'm a freak sometimes. 
Anyway, new movie of a Serbian director Srdan Golubovic, Circles was amazing. I really enjoyed this one. Great directing, screenplay, atmosphere, acting, photography, it's really a good movie. And I cried most of the movie. Bravo for Srdan and his crew.
Je vais bien, ne t'en vais pas was nice. I really love Melanie Laurent, she always brings beautiful energy in movies. Cary Grant is one of my favorite movie persons of all time, so I always come back to his movies. I can watch Arsenic and old lace everyday and still laugh like it's the first time. 
Never let me go was a little bit boring and slow, despite heavy subject. In a better world was quite good, but I love Danish movies in general, so I'm not quite objective. No, but really, great movie. XXY also very good. Good story, great acting and I love atmosphere of the place where movie was shot.  

Filmovi za ovu nedelju // Watched movies this week

After the wedding i The Hunt su mi bili odlicni, ali kako i ne kad je u njima sjajni Mads Mikkelsen. Sto ga vise gledam, sve mi vise postaje jedan od omiljenih glumaca. Uvek je dobro vratiti se Star Wars filmovima. Planirala sam da ovih dana odgledam sve otpocetka, redom, ali uvek se nadje jos neki film koji bih rado pogledala, pa nikako da to i ostvarim. The Punk singer je dokumentarac o pevacici Kathleen Hanna, clanici Bikini Kill, Le tigre i Julie ruin. Osim price o njoj, zenskim bendovima, riot girrrl pokretu i celoj atmosferi te scene, film takodje sadrzi i pricu zasto je Kathleen prestala da se bavi muzikom, sta radi sada i slicno. Ali da ne otkrivam puno. Svakako preporuka. Safety Not Guaranteed mi je bio prijatno iznenadjenje, s obzirom da nisam imala velika oceivanja. Zabavan je, interesentani likovi i dobra prica. Don Jon mi je bio zabavan, ali nisam odusevljena.

After the Wedding and The Hunt were excellent. Mads Mikkelsen is really amazing in both movies, and the more I watch him the more I place him high on the list of my favorite actors. It's always nice to comeback watching Star Wars movies. I have planned to watch all of them at once, but there's always some other movie I want to watch parallel, so it's impossible. The Punk Singer is a movie about singer Kathleen Hanna, about riot girrrl movement, punk scene and why she stops with the music at 2005. Really loved it. Safety not Guaranteed was a surprise, because I didn't expect anything. Funny story and nice characters. Don Jon was fun to watch, but I'm not crazy about it.
